Unitarian Universalists Preparing Hygiene Kits for Katrina Victims

Our local Santa Clarita Unitarian Universalist Church is seeking donations of items from individuals and businesses to package as hygeine kits.
The Holiday Inn Express has donated 1500 bars of soap, some shampoo and shower caps. Dr. Robert Meeker, DDS has donated 96 adult and 74 children’s toothbrushes.

They are still looking for the following items:

Deodorant, Wet Wipes Kleenex, Combs, Toothpaste, Razors, Lotion, Tampons & Pads , Waterless Soap, Power Bars, etc, as well as clear baggies for packaging the kits.

If you can help in any way with this effort, please contact Claudia Perkinson 260-1413 or cell 993-9542. The group will also be collecting items at their church service on Sunday morning, 10:30 am at Newhall Elementary School.
