Fire 1 – Bridgeport:

A fire was reported in the Bridgeport area Friday afternoon closing roads and charing 5 acres.

LA County Fire got the initial report of flames in the riverbed behind Bridgeport at 3:51 p.m., where three youths were seen running from smoke in the creekbed behind the residences.

No structures were threatened by the blaze and the fire is at this time has been confined to the creekbed. L.A County Fire is reporting 100 percent containment on the fire.  Newhall Ranch Road into the Bridgeport complex has been closed. Grandview and Newhall Ranch Road have also been closed and the entire stretch of Bridgeport Lane is closed. Fire crews will be on-scene dousing hot spots until about 7:30 p.m.

It looks as if the fire was set by three juveniles playing in the wash, those suspects are being questioned by authorities.
