Brush fire near freeway put out, no connection to oil refinery

At 9:15,  a brush fire was reported on the 14 Freeway at San Fernando Road.

Although the exact cause is unknown, the blaze did start on the road side.

Emergency vehicles rushed to the scene, and several helicopters dropped water on the blaze.  

As of 11:52, the fire had been put out.  The knock down time was 10:58, and it was learned that the nearby oil refinery had nothing to do with the brush fire.
