Three lanes are now reopened — lanes No. 1, 2 and 3, according to Officer Monica Posada of the California Highway Patrol.

The fourth lane is expected to be closed until 1 p.m., she added.

Seven vehicles were involved in the collision, which was first reported at 11:12 a.m.

Three people were transported to the hospital for minor to moderate injuries, Posada said.

No one was seriously hurt.

All lanes were closed on the northbound side for a SigAlert issued at 11:33 a.m.

Officials expected the lanes to be closed for another half-hour at least, while California Highway Patrol officers investigate the scene.

Weekend traffic is currently backing up, and CHP officers are suggesting that drivers take The Old Road.
