UPDATE: Power Outage Affects 1700 Customers

UPDATE 6:30 PM: A power outage has affected residences and businesses in the Canyon Country area Thursday evening.

According to Rudy Gonzalez from Southern California Edison, the power outage occured Thursday evening at 5:04pm. Approximately 1775 customers are affected in the Canyon Country area, with the outage area roughly bordered by Diamond Place to the south, and Delight Street to the north. Flashing power lights slowed traffic along Soledad Canyon Road, and several businesses in the Center Pointe area were also reported without power.

Edison is working now to isolate the problem- which is possibly underground, further slowing the isolation- and restore power, which they hope to do over the next few hours.
