UPDATED: Brush Fire Reported In Newhall

khts_brushfire Firefighters declared a knockdown at 1:10 p.m. on a small brush fire on Sierra Highway near Newhall Avenue.

The CHP closed all southbound lanes of Sierra Highway at Dockweiler Drive to accomodate fire crews.

The fire was reported at 12:27 p.m. behind the Polynesian Mobile Home Park in Placerita Canyon. No structures were damaged and there were no injuries.
