UPDATED 9:33 A.M. WEDNESDAY – Governor Jerry Brown will be making a visit to Santa Clarita Thursday afternoon for a meeting that will bring the budget question to the decision makers – and he’s looking for input.
Brown will be meeting with educators and law enforcement officials from the Los Angeles area to discuss how the budget crisis is affecting schools and public safety. Attendance at the meeting is by invitation only.
Brown will be accompanied by Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, who is the first Republican legislator to join Brown as he tours the state to talk to the public about extending certain taxes to avert further budget cuts.
