Power has been restored near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Crossglade Avenue, where lightning struck an Edison transformer around 11:15 a.m., knocking it and an adjacent transformer out in front of the Taco Bell restaurant.
Edison officials are still in the area to ensure that all equipment is working normally.
Power was knocked out for approximately 3,344 customers in the Whites Canyon/Plum Canyon area from the time of the incident until about 1 p.m., related to the incident.

The initial call was for fire to a pole outside the restaurant; fire officials quickly responded. No injuries were reported, but the Taco Bell was evacuated as a precaution.
City crews and deputies directed traffic at the intersection of Crossglade and Soledad Canyon Road, where signals went out after the fire.
