A transient whose body was found Tuesday afternoon in the Santa Clara River has been identified as Stephen Sieber, 47.
Coroner’s Office spokesman Craig Harvey said that Sieber’s body was examined today, but the cause of death has been deferred to allow for further tests.
Sieber’s body was discovered by a passerby and officials say the rainy weather may have played a part in his demise.
