UPDATED: Missing Canyon Country Woman Found Dead, Husband And Dog Still Missing

khts_crime_genericUPDATED 12:04 Saturday: A body found on Upper Big Tujunga Road in Angeles National Forest has been identified as that of Renata Klein, who had been reported missing since Sunday, June 12.

The cause of her death was not yet determined. Her husband, Dusan, 59  and their dog, a cocker spaniel named Cindy, are still missing, as is their 1999 Jeep.

On Wednesday, Sheriff’s Homicide investigators responded to Mile Marker 8.95 of Upper Big Tujunga Road in the Angeles National Forest, regarding a death investigation of a female white adult who was found by local Public Works employees.

Today, the body was positively identified as missing person Renata Klein of Santa Clarita. The cause of deathKlein_Renata is unknown at this time.

Her husband, Dusan Klein, 59, their 1999 Jeep Cherokee (Gold, California License Plate 4FLN519, with a sticker on the window with words “American Travel”), and their black and white Cocker Spaniel named Cindy, are still missing.

The couple spoke with friends around 7 p.m. last Saturday and most likely left their Wildwind Canyon Road home Sunday morning.

Dusan Klein is a Caucasian male, 6 feet 2 inches in height, weighing 190, with brown hair and brown eyes.
