US Forest Service Needs More Than Firefighters

coc_jobfairFirefighters battling flames maybe the iconic image during raging forest fires but the US Forest Service needs more help. This Saturday the US Forest Service is hosting a job fair at the Little Tujunga Ranger Station in San Fernando to fill posts in wild land firefighting and forest management.

 

All sorts of positions are open, from biologists, engineers, accountants and yes, even firefighters. The US Forest Service also has student and volunteer programs, as well as seasonal employment.

The fair starts Saturday at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. The Little Tujunga Ranger Station is located at 12371 Little Tujunga Canyon Road. For more information about the fair, job seekers can call (818) 899-6772 or visit www.fs.fed.us/r5/angeles.
