Tonight, at the Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series, a special tribute will be made to honor our military and specifically, the most recent local fallen soldiers from our community: Jake Suter and Ian Gelig.
Some of the top Jazz and Blues recording artists in the world will be performing from 7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The concerts will take place on Town Center Drive and McBean Parkway in the heart of Valencia.
At 8:15, The Ventura Girlz will sing patriotic songs while the ladder truck from Fire Station 126 raises a special commemorative American flag. A moment of silence will follow.
The Ventura Girlz are a popular teenage musical performance group of two sets of sisters with an impressive resume of performances including stage (Broadway, Pantages, etc.), national commercials and co-starring roles in ABC’s Samantha Who and Desperate Housewives.
The featured band is Teresa James & the Rhythm Tramps – Nominee for Contemporary Female Blues Vocalist of the Year.
The Concert Series features regional, national and international entertainers in a quaint, street party setting while offering interactive activities for adults and children including a raffle. Each week, a local charity is chosen to benefit from a portion of the proceeds from the event.
Admission is free. No pets or outside food and beverages are allowed. A variety of food and beverages will be offered at the event, including wine and beer.
