Valley Fair Wraps Up SCV Debut

Residents get their share of rides and attractions

[view:node_ad=5]As the San Fernando Valley Fair made its way past the San Fernando Valley and into our hometown, residents flocked to Saugus Speedway to get a first hand look at the fun and games.

The fair had come under some criticism for not featuring livestock, or much else that represents the San Fernando Valley. But what it did have was plenty of food, carnival games, and rides.

In addition, a remarkable show starring basket shooting and Frisbee throwing Sea Lions proved to be the highlight of the night…at least for me. The tigers of India were also on display, which was a great show in itself.

While there were indeed many people there on Sunday evening, it was not what one could consider jam packed, and therefore getting on rides and ordering food was quick and easy.

The exact number of patrons that made it to the fair was not immediately available, but that number should play a distinct role in whether or not the San Fernando Valley Fair will be back in Santa Clarita next year.
