The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (Public Works) has scheduled a full closure for Vasquez Canyon Road.  The closure is necessary to secure public safety during a stage I construction procedure.  The date and time of this closure is subject to change.

The schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday December 8, 2009, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., both east and westbound traffic lanes will be closed.

As part of stage I construction, the contractor will be operating oversized equipment that  will encroach onto Vasquez road and partially block through traffic.  In addition to the road closure, changeable message board signs are posted throughout the area to relay advanced warning of the pending road closure to motorists.
