Investigators determined that a vehicle most likely started
the blaze at the bottom of a small unnamed canyon a half-mile off Little Tujunga
Road near Marek Truck Trail.

The joint investigative team was comprised of investigators
from the US Forest Service, Cal Fire, LA County Fire, LA City Arson and the LA
County Arson and Explosives Unit.

The fire, which was fully contained Thursday, destroyed 65
structures and outbuildings and caused one death. The cost of fighting the fire
has been estimated at nearly $6 million.
