Magic Mountain is commemorating Veterans Day this year by offering “very deep discount” tickets to veterans, their families, friends and the general public that are usable from Nov. 1 to Nov. 18.

Tickets can be purchased at the newly-opened Veteran Center in Newhall for the price of $42.99 for entry and $10 for parking, according to officials.

In addition to working with the theme park, the Veterans Collaborative — the organization that supports and maintains the Veteran’s Center — has announced another new development going into this year’s Veterans Day.

The collaborative has announced that they have contracted Jeff Stabile as their new executive director of services. Beginning Nov. 1, Stabile will begin his work to “greatly enhance several areas of service that the collaborative provides to veterans and their families,” according to an official news release.

One of the first assignments Stabile is scheduled to manage is the relationship between the Veteran Center and Mental Health America, an organization that has announced its plans to move its Newhall office to the space adjoining the Veteran Center, according to officials.

“This means a greater ability to serve and accommodate those veterans and their families who may be in need of assistance,” read a Veteran Center news release.

Those wishing to purchase Six Flags Magic Mountain tickets or explore the various services supported by the Veteran Center can visit them at their new location at 23222 Lyons Avenue. The center is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Drop into the Veteran Center any time, and see what’s available,” concluded the center’s news release. “Look over our Warriors’ Wall to read biographies of local men and women who have served their country. If you’re a veteran and not on the wall, we can make it happen.”
