VIA – “B2B Is Back”

The worldwide recession has taken its toll on many aspects of daily life in Santa Clarita, including the daily operations of many local businesses. Recognizing the need for local businesses to reduce costs and interact effectively, especially in times of economic downturn, the Valley Industrial Association (VIA) is preparing the return of its Business-to-Business Industry Show on June 10 and 11.

In this trade show environment, VIA hopes to foster connections between local business, government, educational, and other organizations which will help to reduce pollution and shipping costs, improve customer service, and grow the local community by stimulating the flow of money locally.

“Given today’s economic challenges, the Industry Show gives VIA members an affordable way to showcase their business in front of buyers who are looking to find local sources,” said Randy Moberg, chairman of the VIA board of directors.

The event will kick off on Wednesday with an invitation-only CEO Reception where executives will mingle around the exhibition floor amidst food, wine, and live entertainment. On Thursday, VIA members will get down to business displaying their products for the perusal of decision makers from local firms during the Supplier Showcase.

Gary Buterbaugh, owner of High Impact Event Resources and manager of the VIA B2B Industry Show, claims the event will answer two questions:

“First, if I’m a business, how do I find local products and services that will save me both time and money? And second, if I’m a local business that provides products and services that will save other companies time and money, how do I get those products and services in front of them?”

In addition to the main exhibition floor, some businesses will have the opportunity to make a 15 minute presentation to a group of decision makers from 20 large firms in a Backstage Connections area. Time slots are also available for 45 minute presentations in the 30 seat Seminar Theatre.

Local firms and organizations are invited to attend the exhibition at 26081 Avenue Hall. Those interested in display booths may reserve them for $200 to $650. In addition, 17 different sponsorship levels are offered, from $500 B2B Bistro level to $5,000 Title sponsor. Interested parties should contact Kathy Norris at 661-294-8088, or visit www.via.org.
