L.A County Transit is holding a video contest where the winner will win a free pass for a year.
The “Transit Flicks” video contest gives participants the opportunity to show the world what they like best about riding buses and trains in Los Angeles County.
Contestants have to create a video, no more than two minutes long, which explains how transit helps them and encourages others to try it.
Entries will be judged on originality, believability, and how well they convince others to try transit. The top contenders will be posted on the web to give the public a chance to chose the winner.
The grand prize winner will receive a free EZ transit pass for one year, a value of over $1,000. First runner up will receive a six-month EZ pass. A three-month pass will go to the second runner up. And five honorable mention winners each will earn a free one-month pass.
Winning videos will appear on all participating agencies’ websites and shown on Metro’s Transit TV. Winners will be announced in early September.
The entry deadline is July 15, for more information click here.
