Vin Scully, who is entering an unprecedented 62nd season broadcasting Dodger baseball, will call six innings of the Dodgers’ home opener on KHTS AM1220 on March 31. Scully will broadcast innings one through three and seven through nine, with Rick Monday and Charley Steiner handling the duties during innings four through six in typical postseason format.
The Dodgers take on the San Francisco Giants at 5 p.m. on Major League Baseball’s Opening Night on ESPN.

Scully will be calling his 54th home opener in Los Angeles, as he joined the club in 1950, eight years before the franchise moved to the West Coast
In 2005, USA Today named the broadcast team of Scully, Monday and Steiner as Major League Baseball’s best. Scully, a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, is considered by many to be the greatest sportscaster of all-time.
Monday, who recently earned top honors among radio analysts from the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Association, enters his 18th season as a Dodger broadcaster and 26th overall with the organization.
Steiner, a four-time Emmy Award winner, is entering his seventh season calling play-by-play for the Dodgers after 14 years at ESPN and three seasons with the Yankees.
