A man walking along the bike path in Canyon Country was attacked and robbed early Thursday morning.
Sgt. Gary Parker told KHTS that the man was on the bike path just after 2 a.m. when he was surrounded by three male Hispanics who attempted to rob him.
One of the suspects proceeded to beat him with a large metal wrench, but the victim was able to flee and called for help at a 7-Eleven store on Sierra Highway.
As the three suspects fled, one fell into the wash and broke his leg.
Deputies were able to arrest all three suspects. In custody are Jose Baeza, 23, from Canyon Country and Jose Quevedo, 18, of Lancaster. Also arrested was Adrian Garcia, 29, of Lancaster, who received medical treatment for a broken leg.
The victim was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.
