Water Festival Hopes To Make A Splash For Single Mothers

 

Looking for a chance to cool off at the pool and benefit your community this Saturday?

The first ever SCV Water Festival will be held at the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center on August 6 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. to benefit Single Mothers Outreach of Santa Clarita. SMO is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1995 with the intent of helping single mothers suffering from the effects of a divorce or the death of a spouse.

Activities at the festival will include live music, games, rubber duck races, water golf, a dive in movie and more. Food and prizes will also be available.

500 tickets are being sold for the event and the tickets are being priced at $15 for adults, $7.50 for kids and $40 for a family four pack that contains tickets for two adults and two kids.

Tickets are available for purchase on facebook or on singlemothersoutreach.org. You can also call the organization at (661)288-0117 or (661)257-2673 to purchase tickets or to find out more information about the event.

If you cannot attend the event but would still like to donate to the group there is a a quick and easy way to do so on their website.
