“Starting tonight, a low pressure system will be rolling in bringing lower than normal temperatures and a chance of rain,” said Tom Fisher, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
There is a 40 percent chance of rain starting Tuesday morning with up to a quarter of an inch expected, said Fisher.

There is a small chance to see rain showers Wednesday as well.
The mountain areas east of the Santa Clarita Valley have a slight chance to see thunderstorms, which could lead to some heavy but brief downpours.
“Temperatures for Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be below normal with highs in the low 60s and lows in the 50s,” said Fisher.
By Cinco De Mayo weekend, however, temperatures are expected to jump back up to the 90s.

The heat is a concern for firefighting and prevention efforts, but no concrete warnings are in place.
“At this point, there is no fire warnings in effect,” said Fisher.
