Rainstorm Headed For Santa Clarita

Rain and cooler temperatures are in the forecast for Santa Clarita beginning late Friday night and continuing throughout Saturday.

Although forecasts project that Friday will be mostly sunny, there will be a chance of rainfall beginning after 11:00 p.m, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The rain is expected to continue into Saturday, with an 80 percent chance of rain throughout the early morning and an expected temperature high of 69 degrees, according to the NWS.

The small storm is expected to bring 0.2 inches to 0.3 inches of rain to the Santa Clarita Valley, according to officials

However, the clouds are expected to shift by Saturday night, resulting in a mostly cloudy sky but no chance of rain. The low of  Saturday night will be around 49 degrees, according to the NWS.

Sunday is projected to be mostly clear skies with highs in the mid 70’s.

This is not the first rain storm to hit Santa Clarita in recent weeks. The Santa Clarita Valley was hit with over 3 inches of rain from March 20 – March 23, as previously reported.
