Webcam Allows Viewers To Watch Old Town Newhall Construction

khts_inthecommunityLive images of the construction progress of the new Old Town Newhall Library and Phase 2 of the Streetscape on Main Street are now streaming on the City’s website.  The streaming video will allow residents to monitor the progress of the City’s newest additions to Old Town Newhall throughout the construction.

The new library is being constructed at the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Main Street .  It will replace the older, smaller existing Newhall Library and will be an anchor point for future revitalization of the area.

“There is so much excitement about the new library and the web camera will let the community follow the progress of this important project,” commented Mayor Laurene Weste. “Future generations of Santa Clarita will come to know the Old Town Newhall Library as a focal point of the community. Witnessing the library being built is truly historic,” she added.

The City has previously streamed live images via webcam for both the Aquatic Center and Skate Park construction.

The webcam is live on the City’s website now and will remain in place for the entire length of construction.  To view it, visit SantaClaritaLibrary.com/webcam.asp.
