Whether you’re looking to make a difference, get information, or be entertained, there are a lot of choices this weekend in Santa Clarita
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will be making two presentations on Saturday at Rio VistaSchool. They are designed to teach parents what to look for in their children’s lives, and how to combat issues relating to their child’s well being.
The first presentation will be about gangs and graffiti. The second will address bullying and internet safety.
This free event will be held at Rio Vista School Saturday between 11:00am and 4:00pm. Contact the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department for more information.
The Italian Feast of Santa Clarita is making its debut in town! The all-weekend-long party features all things Italian including great food, rides and nightly entertainment. Tickets run $10 each, and kids under 12 are free.
With the “feast” running from 11am to midnight all weekend long, this is sure to be the entertainment focal point for Santa Clarita and surrounding cities.
The Hispanic Business Expo will offer networking opportunities for aspiring business men and women on Saturday. The event kicks off at 11:00am at the Newhall Community Center and runs until 3:00pm. Bring resumes!
Mothers Fighting For Others will be collecting cheek swabs and/or small blood samples to add people into the bone marrow registry. This will happen Saturday afternoon in the Ralphs parking lot on McBean Parkway and Decoro.
No actual bone marrow will be extracted from participants at the event. You will be entered into the registry and if a sick patient is a match, you will be contacted at a later time.
An Arbor Day event will take place at Central Park Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00pm. Stop by for free trees, and great info on how to care for your home’s landscape.
