Westbound State Route 138 Closure, June 8th and 9th

The California Highway Patrol will be on site to assist with traffic management.

Pearblossom and Llano – As part of the State Route 138 widening and improvement project, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily close westbound State Route 138 in Pearblossom and Llano from 146th Street East to 165th Street East — on Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

One lane will remain open to accommodate both eastbound and westbound traffic, alternating.  Flaggers will be on site to assist motorists. The closure is necessary in order to complete a temporary detour to be used during construction of a new bridge at Twin Bridges over Big Rock Wash. This temporary detour will be used by motorists while the new larger bridge is being constructed. Signs will be posted to assist motorists.  Traffic delays of up to 20 minutes may be experienced. The California Highway Patrol will be on site to assist with traffic management.

NOTE:  BUSINESSES ARE OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION.  PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MERCHANTS.

Closures are weather permitting and subject to change. Caltrans reminds motorists that traffic fines are doubled in freeway and highway work zones, and to please SLOW FOR THE CONE ZONE.

Caltrans thanks motorists and residents for their patience during this State Route 138 improvement project.
