Westfield Expansion To Break Ground

New face of the Valencia Town Center will celebrate what's to come.

The #1 shopping destination in north Los Angeles County is exactly how Westfield Valencia Town Center may be characterized after a much anticipated expansion.  Construction is expected to begin this winter on an open-air center featuring lush landscaping, water features, fireplaces and elegant patios.  The expanded center will attract 40 world-class retailers to the Santa Clarita Valley.

The Valencia Town Center East expansion was approved to begin October 30th and has been called an “outdoor living room” for all the sophisticated lifestyle amenities it will offer in a beautiful open-air center of approximately 234,500 square-feet.  It will also house a children’s play area, “al fresco” style restaurants and a variety of retail stores.

This multi-million dollar investment is expected to add $1million in new sales tax revenue to the City of Santa Clarita, which will become funding for community building projects, parks and Sheriffs’ services.  The WestfieldValencia Town Center expansion will also generate hundreds of local jobs, an even bigger boon to the City.

A Ground Breaking event is scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, January 19th between Macy’s and Sears in the parking area facing Valencia Boulevard, on the south side of the property. Opening is anticipated for Spring 2009.
