A 20 year-old Westridge resident appeared in court today to face 12 felony counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
If convicted as charged, Alexander Boswell could face a maximum sentence of 120 years in prison. Boswell, who works at an unnamed food service establishment outside of Santa Clarita, had his bail set at $1.2 million dollars.
The charges involve one victim, a boy under the age of 14 with the alleged abuse occurring between March of 2007 to June of 2008, making the suspect between the ages of 16 and 17 when the alleged crimes were committed. However, the D.A.’s office is charging Boswell as an adult.
Detectives from the Special Victims Bureau confirmed Boswell was arrested on Wednesday night at his home on Silver Aspen Way in West Ridge and that the victim was 10 years-old.
Although Boswell appeared in Department S of the San Fernando Courthouse his arraignment was put over until December 29.
