Westside Residents Asked For Planning Input

There’s change in the wind on the West side and there are two meetings planned to see just what the property owners and residents want.

The Castaic Area and West Ranch Town Councils are sponsoring the meetings, which will address the possibility of unincorporated areas becoming part of the city of Santa Clarita, incorporating into their own city or remaining under the governance of Los Angeles County.

A detailed study will be presented with the facts on all three choices. The study will be available at both meetings.

The first meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 15 at Stevenson Ranch Elementary School , 25820 N. Carroll Lane in Stevenson Ranch and the second is set at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18 at Castaic Middle School, 28900 Hillcrest Parkway in Castaic.

The public is invited to the meetings and encouraged to participate in the planning process.
