Retired Army Colonel Debra Lewis and her husband Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Doug Adams arrive in Santa Clarita on Saturday as they near the end of their 1-year, 16 thousand plus mile, 50-state “Duty Honor America” tour.
Doug is on his bike and Debra in the motor home as their wheels spin — all in the cause of raising awareness of veterans issues.
Both are West Point graduates, class of 1980, the first class to graduate women.
Debra served in the Pentagon on 9/11 and later for 15 months in Iraq, where she led the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from Washington on a number of large infrastructure projects.
