Wildland Fire Science Class To Be Offered

The U.S. Forest Service will be hosting a recruitment meeting on Tuesday, December 8th at 11:40 am, at the Frazier Mountain High School, for a Wildland Fire Science class. The 2010 class will begin on Monday, January 11th and will be taught at Frazier Mountain High School.

Anyone may enroll in the class and will be eligible for credits from Bakersfield College. The class will provide an introduction to the basic knowledge and skills required to suppress wildland fires and prepare students who complete the class for possible summer employment opportunities in Fire, Recreation, Timber and Resource Management. Those attending the meeting will be required to check in at the administrative office to be isued a visitor pass.
