The economy continues to improve in the Santa Clarita Valley, and a stronger real estate market means there are more housing choices locally.

Valle Di Oro site planSanta Clarita based Williams Homes has been building locally since the late 90s and plans to make the second phase of Valle Di Oro, their newest Canyon Country development, available in mid June.

Daniel Faina, director of sales and marketing for Williams Homes, is excited about what Valle Di Oro has to offer.

“Santa Clarita is our hometown,” he said, “and we are excited to be building a product that we think meets exactly what the average buyer in this town is looking for and currently unable to buy with the constraints and inventory.”

The first phase of the gated community, which features multiple floor plans and recreational facilities, sold out within days of the grand opening on May 18.

Valle Di Oro is also not part of a Community Facilities District, meaning residents do not pay the Mello-Roos tax. This additional property tax approved in 1982 by the California state legislature for homes within a CFD, which often pay for community improvement in infrastructure and services.

“Valle Di Oro offers the most cost-effective detached homes in all of Santa Clarita Valley, above all the other competitors,” Faina said, “and we’ll have homes that will be readily available to move in in the coming months.”

Williams Homes builds communities in Ventura County, Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County, but according to Faina, the SCV is showing the most promise economically.

“We’re seeing the market turn more in California than in other states. California is doing progressively better, but we’re in about a dozen different markets throughout California, different cities, and Santa Clarita is showing some of the highest percentages of growth,” he said. “So we’re very pleased to be in this valley at this time and feel that everyone in this valley is going to see some strong growth, and it’s going to keep moving for some time. So, we’re happy to be building and delivering homes through this growth cycle in the valley.”
