Wine Tasting To Benefit Castaic School Programs

wine-and-cheese1Wine and food lovers in the Santa Clarita Valley are invited to an event that supports the Castaic Education Foundation’s efforts to maintain high quality programs for students.

The “Sweethearts for Education” Wine Tasting Event will be held on February 10 at Salt Creek Grille.

“The donations received from past events have allowed us to give grants to help establish science and art labs at each of the elementary schools in the district.” said Sabrina MacDougall, Chair of the Castaic Education Foundation. “The funds also allow us to grant teachers the needed resources for other educational projects and programs. In these tough budget times, community support is needed more than ever before.”

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with appetizers and desserts as well as a series of wine tastings. There will also be drawings and a raffle held at the event.

“Last year’s event sold out and everyone had a splendid time. I think its proximity to Valentine’s Day and the fact that it occurs before a holiday weekend brings people out ready to celebrate,” MacDougall said. “Not to mention the wonderful location, food and great wines.”

Tickets are available for $50 each. Please contact Diane Fiero at 661 373-4574.
