[view:node_ad=5]Friday evening, the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s station responded to a Canyon Country residence where a 58 year old woman was beaten by two male suspects.

The woman reportedly heard a knock at the door, and saw two males whom she mistook for deputies.

The suspects are not believed to have been wearing replicated deputy uniforms, however they were wearing green colored pants and a beige colored shirt.

When she opened the door, the men started to hit her with some form of blunt object. When she fell to the ground they began to strike her with their fists.

The suspects fled the scene and no stolen property was reported.

KHTS has received information that the victim may have been specifically targeted  however the exact reasons are not known at this time.

The suspects were last seen driving near Sand Canyon Road.

The female victim was treated for minor injuries.
