A 35-year old Canyon Country woman jumped to her death this afternoon from the Via Princessa bridge.
The woman was a passenger in her brother’s Chevy Blazer. As they drove across the bridge at about 5:30 p.m., the brother said that he and his sister, Rebecca, had been arguing. He said they were traveling at approximately 30 miles an hour when she opened the door and tumbled out, stood up and climbed the metal fence on the bridge and threw herself off.
The victim landed near a retaining wall next to Metrolink railroad tracks under the bridge. Sheriff and fire units responding to the scene attempted to treat the woman, but she was declared dead.
