Woman In Hospital After Car Hits Pedestrian

A woman who was hit by a car that jumped a curb Friday in Valencia was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Sheriff’s Department officials.

“She’s going to survive, I talked to her at the hospital,” said Detective Travis Kelly, a traffic investigator with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station

At 11 a.m., Fire and Sheriff’s Department personnel responded to a call after a car hit a pedestrian near the intersection of El Paseo Drive and El Monte Drive, according to officials.

No charges are expected to be filed in the incident, according to Kelly, but he’s asking anyone who might have information to contact the Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
