Woman Robbed At Newhall Gas Station

Pair escapes with victim's ATM card.

A woman putting gas in her car was robbed early Monday morning at a Newhall gas station by two men who fled the scene.

According to Sgt. Ronald Price, the woman had just finished putting gas in her car at a station in the 20000 block of San Fernando Road shortly after midnight when she felt someone’s hand in her right sweatshirt pocket. Realizing her ATM card was gone, she began chasing a male Hispanic who was running toward a 4-door 1980s Honda Civic.

When she got between him and the door, the first suspect told her he didn’t want to shoot her, directing his passenger to “get the gun.” At that point, the victim retreated to her car.

The suspects, described as two male Hispanics between the ages of 20 and 30, 5’ 9”, approximately 240 pounds, left the parking lot traveling southbound on San Fernando Road towards the 14 freeway.
