A woman was found dead in her vehicle in a Castaic parking lot late Monday morning.
Lt. Tom Bryskie said the woman, who was in her 40s, was seen at approximately 6:45 a.m.in a silver late-model Mercedes parked near Kinder Care, but people in the center thought she was just sleeping, as her seat was reclined and the windows were rolled up.
At 12:15, someone called the sheriff’s station to report that there was a woman who appeared to have stopped breathing in a late-model silver Mercedes parked at the popular shopping center at 28050 Hasley Canyon Road.
According to Lt. Tom Bryskie, there were no signs of foul play and the woman appeared to have died of natural causes. Her identity is being withheld until next of kin is informed.
