Workshops set for businesses hoping to work on stimulus-funded county projects.

Businesses interested in upcoming “shovel ready” projects
overseen by the Los Angeles Department of Public Works will have an opportunity
to learn more about doing business with the county at a series of workshops
that start March 18 in Lakewood.
Workshops for projects in the 5th Supervisory district,
which includes the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas, will be held
March 20 and 25.
The workshops will provide an overview of doing business
with the county, identify upcoming projects – which include road, bridge,
building, airport, flood control, energy and consulting services – an provide
an update on the Federal Economic Stimulus Package.
The local workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon,
Wednesday, March 25, at Hart Hall in William
S. Hart Park,
