In collaboration with Westfield Valencia Town Center, the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center will host a Job Recruitment Event on Thursday, October 28th, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for new stores opening at Westfield Valencia Town Center’s Shops at the Patios.

The event will be held at Westfield Valencia Town Center at 24201 Valencia Boulevard, (the storefront next to Pottery Barn) on Town Center Drive, and will offer job opportunities from several new retailers including full-time and part-time opportunities as well as seasonal positions.

The WorkSource Center and Westfield have partnered in an effort to connect Santa Clarita Valley job seekers with employment opportunities provided by the new shopping center expansion Shops at The Patios.

“Westfield recognizes the benefits of working with a local, free resource such as the WorkSource Center to streamline the hiring process, help identify candidates who may be eligible for the Enterprise Zone hiring tax credit, and quickly and effectively help residents secure local employment,” said Mayor Laurene Weste.

Businesses participating at the event include retailers such as Caché, Williams-Sonoma, Janie & Jack, Dig It, Michael Kors, Sephora, Teavana, True Religion and more.  Scores of positions will be available to job seekers, who are encouraged to arrive promptly with several copies of their resume in addition to being “interview-ready.”

Candidates should possess excellent verbal communication skills, be customer service oriented, have a flexible work schedule; good computer skills and retail experience are a plus, in addition to comfort and experience working in a fast-paced environment.  Job seekers are encouraged to dress to impress and be prepared to complete company applications on site, as well as paperwork for the Santa Clarita WorkSource.
