Brungard attended Zonta’s June business meeting to receive her $500 local scholarship award from JMK Committee Chair Marianne Cederlind.
During her studies at Woodbury, Brungard has received the Woodbury University Business Scholarship and Woodbury University Academic Scholarship in 2009; the 4.0 G.P.A. Recognition Award, Honors for Mathematics and its Applications and the Business Women of Woodbury Invitation in 2010.
While furthering her education in pursuit of a degree, Brungard is setting her sights on furthering her personal, social and economic responsibilities with a career in a foreign country. She hopes to learn their culture and value systems as a business professional in the field of human resource management.
She continues to work in the field of floral design to help finance her education.
“Ms. Brungard’s dedication to her education and her strong academic performance are juggled with community volunteerism and employment,” Cederlind commented. “These attributes, along with her career goals, make her a deserving candidate for this award.”
