The Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley plans to honor Santa Clarita celebrity Marlee Lauffer at Zonta’s 29th annual Tribute Dinner on Nov. 8 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.

Lauffer has lived and worked in the Santa Clarita Valley for almost 25 years.
She’s touched the lives of thousands in her role as the vice president of marketing and communications for Newhall Land, according to a Zonta news release.
There, Lauffer plays a key role in many projects, including development of Valencia Town Center, theming and marketing various Valencia residential villages, bringing new jobs to Valencia Gateway, and taking part of the team for the “coming soon” Newhall Ranch.
She’s been a leader in many organizations, including the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, Building Industry Association, WiSH Foundation and the city’s Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission.
Lauffer is a proud member of the Assistance League of Santa Clarita, Soroptomist and member of Zonta.
Every year, the Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley pays tribute to an outstanding community member who has made a significant difference in the lives of many Santa Clarita residents who benefit from the hundreds of local nonprofit organizations.
The event is open to the public with individual tickets at $125.
All guests have a choice of salmon, steak or vegetarian dinners and the opportunity to bid on unique live auction items.
