Non-profit organizations in the Santa Clarita Valley which
work to improve the lives of women are invited to apply for Community Service
Financial Grants offered by Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley Foundation.
Applications were mailed to a list of some 50 community organizations in early
February, and completed requests are due by March 14.

Zonta will
present its grants, valued up to $3,000, at its May business meeting.
Applications will be reviewed by a Foundation committee chaired by Zonta member
Diane Goddard. Committee members include Christine Miller, Jo Ann Rodriguez,
Karla Edwards, Cindie Bassett and Marsha McLean.

Zonta Club
of SCV is a member club of Zonta International, a worldwide service
organization of business professionals that has been in existence since
1919.  Zonta’s membership worldwide is 35,000 in more than 70
countries.  The Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley was chartered in 1974
and its Foundation formed in 1998.

Zonta’s
mission and vision is “Advancing the Status of Women,” and non-profits which
share that mission will receive top priority in the community grant funding
process. Local non-profit organizations which have not received grant
applications by mid-February are welcome to contact Zonta’s message line at
252-9351 to request an application or further information.
