Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley will host a free workshop to help local women find balance between their responsibilities and their personal lives on Saturday, July 31, in the community room of Valencia Library. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is part of Zonta’s LifeForward workshop series aimed at helping women make the most of their potential.
The workshop will be presented by Peggy Edwards, a principal in the consulting firm of Ellis/Edwards, which focuses on organization and leadership development. Edwards has taught time management and priority-setting workshops for 20 years in a variety of industries.
The July 31 workshop will help local women learn tools and techniques to manage their responsibilities and move toward personal and professional goals. The session will help women understand how life and career goals can determine how women spend their time and provide tools and techniques to help women organize their priorities.

Participants will develop their personal action plan to practice using the newly acquired skills.
“This workshop is for women struggling to get it all done,” Edwards commented. “It’s for women who find no time left for themselves at the end of the day and wish they could add a few hours to each week for themselves.”
Zonta’s free workshops offer tips on personal goals, job searches and professional goals. Upcoming workshops include Workplace Success on Aug. 28; Creating Wellness: Handling Stress and Taking Care of You, Sept. 25; Nutrition: Easy Mouthwatering Meals on a Budget, Oct. 30. Locations for upcoming workshops will be announced in advance of each session.
