Zonta Scholarship Promotes Women In Business

khts_inthecommunityZonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley is accepting scholarship applications from local women majoring in business related studies.

The Jane M. Klausman Scholarship for Women in Business is designed to support women who are currently pursuing a business-related degree in college and demonstrate outstanding potential in business related fields.

“The scholarships are designed to encourage undergraduate women to enter careers and seek leadership positions in business-related fields in their communities and throughout the world,” said Bonny Schumacher, international chairwomen of the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship Committee.
The $1,000 scholarships can be used at any college, university or institution for the third or fourth year of study in an accredited program which will result in a business-related degree.
The scholarship was created on a Zonta International level by a generous bequest from former Zonta International Parliamentarian Jane Klausman.
Once selected, the winning candidate will receive the $1,000 scholarship and then progress to the Zonta District 9 level, where one outstanding candidate will be selected to compete internationally for 12 additional scholarships of $5,000 each.
Qualifying local women are invited to visit www.scvzonta.org and complete the scholarship application by April 1.
