Two important workshops are being offered in the LifeForward series by the Zonta Club of the SCV on Saturday, February 26.
Managing Your Money and Identity Theft will be the topics of the free workshops, which will be conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Desert Streams Church, 26873 Ruether Avenue in Canyon Country.
Free childcare for pre-registered participants will be provided by Single Mothers Outreach, which has recently relocated to the same complex.

The workshop will be run by Leslye Mack, who will teach participants how to create a budget and how to set spending goals. The money management portion of the workshop will be of particular interest to women who currently are living from paycheck to paycheck and can’t figure out how to put enough aside for a rainy day.
The second part of the workshop will deal with identity theft, a growing issue in today’s society. Participants will learn how identity theft can happen, how it can be prevented, and what victims can do to lessen the damage if they find themselves already trapped by an identity theft criminal.
Future workshops in the series will include Credit and Credit History on March 26 and Borrowing Basics on April 16.
More information about Zonta’s LifeForward workshops is available by e-mail to lifeforward@scvzonta.org. Registration for the workshop and for those who need childcare is handled online at www.singlemothersoutreach.org/lifeforward.
Zonta’s workshops are designed to help women believe in their unlimited power and potential, build the skills necessary to succeed, and be the powerful women they are meant to be.
