Reservations for popular volunteer recognition event recommended, expected to sell out.
Michelle Armstrong, author of “Manage Your Mind, Master Your Life,” will be keynote speaker at the annual Women in Service Celebration hosted by Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley on Saturday, April 5, at the Valencia Country Club.
The event will honor women nominated by local organizations for their volunteer contributions to the community. The highlight of the morning will be the presentation of the Carmen Sarro Community Service Award to the one honoree whose contributions have made the most impact on the local community.
Armstrong’s keynote message will be particularly applicable to guests who are successful in their own local volunteer efforts. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Armstrong walked away from a lucrative corporate career in marketing and advertising to pursue her passion to empower others to live passionate, powerful and successful lives.
Having experienced firsthand what it’s like to struggle with obstacles to success such as self-sabotaging habits and behaviors, debt and depression, Armstrong now owns two businesses, is ecstatically happy, healthy and successful, and speaks to thousands of business professionals each year on how they can attract more wealth, health and joy in their lives.
A capacity audience is expected to attend the April 5 event, as members of the nominating organizations turn out to support their honorees. Tickets are $30 per person, and reservations are required. A flyer for reserving tables or individual seats at the brunch is available online at www.scvzonta.org.
