Zonta’s February LifeForward workshop is intended to help participants understand how to easily and properly file their taxes, including allowable tax credits and requirements, officials announced Tuesday.

The workshop is scheduled for Sat., Feb. 21, at Savia Community Center, 23780 Newhall Ave. in Newhall, according to a news release.
The workshop will be presented by Zontian Laura Peckham Troost and David Troost, both certified public accountants, according to a news release.
The program runs from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and women who arrive by the 10 a.m. start time are entered in a drawing for a free gift certificate, according to a news release. Free childcare is available for women who register in advance at (661) 288-0117, Spanish translation can also be provided with advance request.
Workshops focus on such topics as personal lifestyle, career and job search skills, divorce and child support and other topics requested by participants, according to a news release.
Zonta offers the free LifeForward workshops, usually on a monthly basis, in cooperation with Single Mothers Outreach, Domestic Violence Center, Habitat for Humanity and Los Angeles County Department of Child & Family Services, according to a news release.
