They went on the best midseason run of any team in over one hundred years last season, which included a 43-7 stretch.
They are the reigning National League champions that came a disastrous Game 7 (innings 1 and 2) away from a World Series title.
They are the only National League team to have back-to-back Rookie of the Year winners in the past 25 seasons, and they’ve done it three times (five straight from 92-96).
