LA Kings Defenseman Voynov Charged In Domestic Violence Case

A Los Angeles Kings defenseman Viatcheslav Leonidovich “Slava” Voynov was charged today in connection with an alleged attack on his wife, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

“During an argument at their Redondo Beach home on Oct. 19, Voynov caused his wife to suffer injuries to her eyebrow, cheek and neck,” prosecutors said. “The injuries were serious and required medical attention at a local hospital where the defendant was arrested”

Viatcheslav Leonidovich “Slava” Voynov, dob 1/16/90, faces one felony count of corporal injury to spouse with great bodily injury in case YA091588, according to a news release.

Arraignment is scheduled at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 in Department 4 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Torrance Branch, according to a news release.

The case remains under investigation by the Redondo Beach Police Department.
